Audacity, TextEdit, and Apple Preview, 2025

For this glitch art series, I explored the overwhelming urge to capture and preserve when we see something beautiful. When I see sunsets, looking at it with my eyes isn’t enough, so I take a photo. I never look at the photo. What I end up capturing with my camera is another crappy sunset photo that will never match the impactful beauty of the sunset I saw in the moment. And I’ll still keep taking photos anyway. On the left is the original photo (with filters) and below are the versions I glitched.
