This video art piece tells the story of my creative process. I immediately fell in love with the idea “How to Have an Idea” and claimed it as mine—manipulated and stretched it—only for it to fight back. I was so distraught; I approached you first, you reciprocated, and now you’re ruining all these fantasies I built around you! It wasn’t until I took a step back and listened to what my idea was trying to say. I couldn’t just force my wishes on it. Recognizing this mindset taught me about the importance of understanding, not controlling, our ideas.
