Hand Coding and Adobe Photoshop, 2024
“The Blog” is a hand coded blog website about a special niche interest of mine: the Sims 4 Get to Work pack. My blog is 4 pages in total, one for the home site and the rest for each of the career options. The blog introduces the idea behind the blog and reviews the three career options available in the Sims 4. I was mostly inspired by the Sims 4 design style. I like the fluorescent, lively, highly saturated, and summery vibe that the Sims 4 incorporates throughout their designs. While looking through the Sims 4 website, I noticed how the Sims characters were highly saturated and colorful. I mimicked this effect by editing personal screenshots of the game to be brighter, more colorful, and have a high contrast. Using bright and bold fonts, an original geometric background design, and the edited images and icons, I hope my website design looks like it could be an official Sims 4 manual.
